Loose the bands of wickedness.
Undo the heavy burdens.
Let the oppressed go free.
Break every yoke.
Deal bread to the hungry.
Bring the poor that are cast out to thy
house.
When you see the naked cover him.
Hide not yourself (from the needs) of your
own flesh and blood.

Then your light shall break forth like the
morning, your healing shall spring forth
speedily, and your righteousness shall go
before you; the glory of the Lord shall be
your rear guard.

Scripture for the week
Nov 9th
Romans 5:1-5 (NLT)

1 Therefore, since we have been made right in
God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God
because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has
done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has
brought us into this place of undeserved
privilege where we now stand, and we
confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing
God’s glory. 3 We can rejoice, too, when we run
into problems and trials, for we know that they
help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance
develops strength of character, and character
strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5
And this hope will not lead to disappointment.
For we know how dearly God loves us, because
he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts
with his love.

Hebrews 12:1-4 (NLT)

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such
a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let
us strip off every weight that slows us down,
especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And
let us run with endurance the race God has set
before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on
Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects
our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he
endured the cross, disregarding its shame.
Now he is seated in the place of honor beside
God’s throne. 3 Think of all the hostility he
endured from sinful people; then you won’t
become weary and give up. 4 After all, you have
not yet given your lives in your struggle against
sin.
